Sophie in Sweden is the storytelling voice of Tinywave AB.
The short version: if you sign up, your name and email are used to send you the letters you asked for — nothing else. Reading the pages is measured anonymously, without cookies. Here's the long version.
Who runs this site
This site is run by Tinywave AB, a Swedish company (registration number 559561-9726) at Södra Förstadsgatan 95B, Malmö, Sweden. You can reach us at info@tinywave.io. Under EU data protection law (GDPR), Tinywave AB is the data controller for the processing described below.
The email list
If you sign up at the bottom of the story, we store your first name and email address with MailerLite, our email delivery provider (acting as our processor). We use it to send you the letter series you signed up for, and occasional letters after that.
The legal basis is your consent — you gave us the address for exactly this. Every email contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing removes you from the list and ends the processing. We never sell or share the list, and we keep it only as long as you stay subscribed.
Analytics — no cookies
We measure how these pages are read (page views, how far people scroll, clicks and sign-ups) using PostHog, hosted in the EU. The setup is deliberately cookie-free: nothing is stored in your browser between visits and we cannot recognise you if you come back tomorrow. That's also why you don't see a cookie banner — there's nothing to consent to.
If you arrived via a link that tells us where you came from, that label (not who you are) is kept in your browser's session storage while the tab is open, and attached to the anonymous analytics events. The legal basis for this measurement is our legitimate interest in understanding whether the pages work.
Who else touches the data
Three service providers process data on our behalf: MailerLite (list storage and sending), PostHog (EU-hosted analytics), and our hosting provider Vercel (serving the pages). Each acts under a data processing agreement. We don't sell personal data to anyone.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to hand it over in a portable format, object to processing, and withdraw your consent at any time (the unsubscribe link is the fastest way). Write to info@tinywave.io — or to Sophie at sayhejtosophie@gmail.com, it reaches the same desk — and we'll sort it out.
If you think we've handled your data badly, you have the right to complain to the Swedish data protection authority, Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (imy.se), or to the authority in your own EU country.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page. The date at the top tells you when it was last touched.
